HR Policies



}  Annual leaves: Every employee will get an annual leave of 30days and if more than thirty days is taken than leave will be deducted from the next year.
}  Annual sick days:In a year 5 days are given as leave for sick days, if more than five days are taken a certain amount will be deducted from the salary.
}  Medical assistance program: Company’s philosophy is “Nobody should die without fund”.Company believes its responsibility towards health services to provide to the employees go beyond the statutory provision. Being the petrochemical industry and some of their process are considered” Hazardous”. Company recognises the importance of good occupational health services. Therefore, at the manufacturing sites, they have well equipped, full fledged medical centre, which are manned round the clock.
}  Education: Learning through internet is provided. Education tie-ups of Wipro include providing (PGSM)Post Graduate Software Management program, middle management course for 5 weeks, and distance learning.
Other Benefits
}  Housing : Company has it’s own township at different location in Bangalore. If house is available, the new employees are allotted the house otherwise the company can also hire house. All the maintenance in houses provided to employees by company is done by the company.
}  Canteen : The company gives canteen facility under which food is provided to the employees but it is not compulsory for them. They get the allowance in their salary.
}  Sports:To motivate the employees of the company organises different sports tournaments i.e. Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton Etc.

Training Process


 Wipro conducts 10 weeks Training Program.Training is divided into
following 4 parts.
1.      FRP (Fundamental Readiness Program)
2.       PRP (Project Readiness Program)
3.       CRP (Corporate Readiness Program)
4.       RLL(Real Life Lab)
Where  FRP-3 weeks Training Program and PRP-7 Weeks Training Program
}  The trainees  will be tested on all the above, except CRP. CRP will have an Impact Session, which will be a transition from "College 2 Corporate" along with ERT (Emergency Response Team) Training.
}  After Completing FRP one has to take 1 test, minimum percentage for passing this test is 70. Questions based on MCQs. You can clear the test quite easily.
}  After Completing PRP one has to take 1 more test, minimum percentage for passing this test is also70.
}  FRP will probably be outsourced to NIIT. PRP will be conducted by Wipro. Both FRP and PRP test have to write inside Wipro.
}  In FRP trainees have to study C, C++, UNIX, Object oriented Programming & Flowchart & Algorithm basic. Wipro will provide all the material.
}  In PRP, trainees will be put into different BUs / Streams and will be trained on them. BU is nothing but a Business Unit.
}  In RLL, trainees will be given a project based on PRP and you will have to successfully complete it.
}  The salary, after training, is determined by the score trainees get.
Score = (30% of FRP) + (50% of PRP) + (20% of RLL)
If the score is 60-70, trainees will get the least slab.
If the score is 70-85, trainees will get the middle slab.
If the score is 85+, trainees will get the maximum slab.



Recruitment Process


Recruitment Process: The recruitment in Wipro is mainly done by a three stage process. It consists of following steps:
Step 1 :Written Test: Written test consists three sections-
a)      Verbal: This section will have 15 questions related to synonyms, antonyms, Analogies, SC, Prepositions and reading comprehension. Wipro placement papers generally have a verbal section with questions on grammar and usage, sentence formation, synonyms and antonyms etc.
b)      Aptitude: This sections will have 15 questions related to aptitude topics like Time & Work, Time & Distance, Blood Relations, Series Completion, Puzzles, Calendars, Clocks, Percentages, Ratio proportions, Ages, Pipes and Cisterns etc.,
c)      Technical: This section will have 20 questions related to basic technical concepts from C, C++, Java, Linux, UNIX, DBMS, SQL, Programming fundamentals, Hardware, Software Engineering, Micro Processors etc.,
Step 2: Technical Interview: In this round, candidates are generally judged about the basics of their core subjects studied like C,Database,Filesystem. This is a major elimination round. Candidates should be thorough with their basic technical skills to clear this round. Candidates are here by informed to be prepared with their core subjects.
Step 3: After clearing the technical interview candidates are required to fill a form consisting of  personal details , hobbies,  strengths and weaknesses, project taken etc. So be prepared with the following points-
}  Strengths and weaknesses
}  Passport number(if any)
}  Location preference
Step 4: HR Interview: Candidates can expect basic HR interview questions like Tell me about your self, Why should I hire you, Why only WIPRO, What is SIX sigma level, etc.
Step 5: Upon Joining, the candidate shall be given an employee code number by Manager(HR) and he shall fill up the joining forms and shall submit the same to the Manager(HR)     for further course of    action.
